Merata Mita. This is my latest collage which I have worked on for the last couple of years. As part of the research, I have watched the excellent documentary about her, “Mereta, How Mum Decolonized The Screen” many times (it’s on Netflix!).When I was invited to participate in the ‘Warrior Women’ exhibition, I knew she had to be part of it.
The exhibition is up till 21 August at @upstairsgallery, Titirangi.
