Collage-Collab

With Naomi Azoulay and Rachael Naomi

Corban Estate Art Centre

In this collage workshop led by artists Naomi Azoulay and Rachael Naomi, we’ll begin by selecting imagery, colours and textures that resonate, curating our snips and swatches into a collection of art works with the potentional of depicting an inner world.

Guided with tips and techniques we’ll also create a poem, poetic dialogue for the stage, or song lyrics in an expression of your feelings or ideas.

From tearing and spontaneous placement, to cutting with precision blades, we’ll layer handprinted and recycled materials, exploring abstract compilations and symbolic narratives.
Set your chosen words free on A3 card, playing with dyes and coloured pencils to complete your visual poetry Collage-Collab.

Let’s create together!

Intuitive Collage is a relaxing and highly therapeutic art medium; it’s a great tool to process difficult feelings, quieten the mind, and elicit a state of deep relaxation, with the subsequent relief of stress and anxiety. In addition, it allows self-expression for those with no prior experience in the arts. For creatives, however, Collage can be uniquely inspiring and means of artistic exploration.
Participants are encouraged to be spontaneous and intuitive; This creative process is flowing, forgiving, and without technical challenges. This course runs in an inclusive, relaxing, and supportive manner and has a non-judgmental approach – there is no right or wrong; it’s all about individual aesthetic preferences.

I run workshops for all ages, at schools and holiday programs, for community organizations, and anything from large events to small intimate groups.
